The Jackpot Team & Philosophy
Meet the Jackpot Team! This is where we shine! Each team member loves animals and is dedicated to their care and is responsible with the details. Jackpot Pet Sitting, LLC currently has seven employees for both pet sitting and dog walking. One key difference between Jackpot and most pet care companies is that our team members are actual employees, not contractors. As employees, they are trained in correct animal care, must follow precise guidelines, are covered under our business license, insurance, and bonding and everyone adheres to a singular Jackpot business model. Having multiple team members trained for one pet, means that your pet care provider can get sick or take a day off without negatively impacting your work or vacation. You always have the option to meet anyone who is caring for your pet or in your home. (No surprises or strangers!) For dog walking, you will typically have two to three walkers and for pet sitting, you typically have one to two pet sitters. Our dog walkers are trained on dog behavior and individualize each walk to meet your dog's needs. We have dog clients of all sizes, ages, and different dispositions. Our cat sitters are truly cat experts. Cats are not an after-thought at Jackpot. Every employee is trained, plus is cleared through a background check. Read team member profiles below:
Elaina grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs. She especially loves cats and has experience with cats of every flavor through volunteering at various animal shelters, fostering kittens, having her own cats, and working as a cat sitter. She currently has two cats: Poppy who loves everyone and Clementine, who only loves Elaina. She enjoys working for Jackpot because she understands firsthand how important it is to have her cats well taken care of when she travels. When she's not cat sitting, she works as a full-time writer/publisher/entrepreneur, which gives her the flexibility to make her own hours and fulfill her dream of petting all the cats.

Blair is an experienced pet sitter and was one of our first hires, specializing in cats including cats with medical needs. She currently has three cats herself: Sunny, Scout, and Tip Toe. Blair takes great cat photos for her clients. She finds cat sitting to be very rewarding, saying, "I always get anxious when I have to leave my cats, and I love being able to ease that anxiety for others." When Blair isn't cat sitting or relaxing at home with her kitties, she can be found dancing professionally with the School of Spectrum Dance, hiking, or rock climbing.
Margaret grew up with cats, dogs, rats, and ducks. She is currently a cat mom to a tabby named Lillet. Her favorite animals include hummingbirds and elephants; elephants because they're a sacred animal of Thailand, where she was born and hummingbirds because her Thai nick-name translates to "Little Bird." Margaret loves getting to know all the dogs she gets to walk at Jackpot and socializing with them. Her love for animals was influenced by her family, who taught her to care deeply for all animals, large or small. She teaches dance at Cornish Preparatory Dance and Bainbridge Ballet and is also a freelance movement artist.
Michelle grew up with cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish. Her favorite animal is an elephant because they are beautiful and represent wisdom, strength, and moderation. Michele most enjoys getting to meet all the adorable pets while working at Jackpot! When Michele isn't working at Jackpot, she's spending time with friends and dancing.
Ben is a long time volunteer with various animal rescue organizations, including cats, small critters, and farm animals. Through the rescues and his fosters and adoptions, he has experience with both injured and special needs pets. He grew up with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and guinea pigs and currently has four cats and one guinea pig. His favorite thing about working at Jackpot is being able to gain the trust of even the most skittish or shy pet. He loves cats especially because they have a fascinating way of communicating and he find it especially interesting how they came to live with humans. When not taking care of pets, Ben enjoys writing, watching movies, and hiking.
Karren new up with an orange cat named Dandelion and several goldfish. She had two beautiful kitties beginning in college named Laertes and Ophelia that had chronic medical conditions, which taught Karren how to administer a wide array of cat medications, which she is able to use as a cat sitter. Her favorite animals are otters and hummingbirds. Otters are just so fun to watch, acting like puppies and kittens. Hummingbirds are Karren's spirit animal: always on the go and looking for nectar (sweets.) When Karren isn't cat sitting, she enjoys reading, gardening, attending live theatre in Seattle, and watching cat videos online at the Kitten Academy.
Katy is a life long animal lover, having grown up with many small pets including guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, geckos, and rabbits before finally getting a family dog. She currently has a big black cat named Bobbe who loves lettuce, being used as a pillow, and having raspberries blown on his belly. Katy loves getting to know each of the Jackpot clients as individuals and as friends, especially on a good dog walk. She really values respecting animals and understanding the way that they express themselves and their own personal boundaries. When Katy isn't working at Jackpot, she is hopefully on or in the water! She also enjoys boxing, sailing, climbing, and dancing, but believes life is always better when there's an animal around.
